There are different types of Rajasthani Pakwann such as Marwadi Thali , Maharani Thali , Samosas , Subzia, Roti , Pudi & Parathe Biryani, Pulav & Chawal , Kaleva etc...

Here is one type of dish to that we can prepare in Marwadi Thali is Pachmela Daal.

     
     
PACHMELA DAAL :
(Serves 4 to 5)
  Ingredients for making Pachmela Daal:  
 

150 grams Tuar Daal
50 grams Yellow Moong Daal
100 grams Chilka Moong Daal
100 grams White Urad Daal
50 grams Channa Daal

Mix all the above daal and take half of it. Wash the daal properly and soak it for 2 hours.

5 tablespoon Ghee
1 teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
2 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
½ teaspoon Turmeric Powder
1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger
2 nos. whole Red Chilli
Salt according to your taste
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh green coriander leaves for garnishing

 
     
  Whole Garam Masala  
 

2 crushed illaichi dodha
4 nos. normal illaichi
1” dalchini
4 nos. clove
4 whole black pepper
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
½ teaspoon hing (Asafoedita)
2 nos. tejpatta

 
  Method of Preparation  
1.
Take a pressure cooker and put the mixture of daals and 2 glass of water, turmeric powder, salt according to taste and chooped ginger. Let the daal cook till you get 3 to 4 whistles. Off the flame. Remove the daal in a vessel and again add one glass of hot water. Stir the daal again.

Heat ghee in a pan add hing, cumin seeds then add all the whole garam masala ingredients. When you start getting the flavor of the whole garam masala off the flame and add red chilli powder and immediately add ½ cup water and then add the daal. Stir the daal, let it boil for about 1 minute.
3.
RAJASTHANI PACHMELA DAAL is ready to serve with BATI and BAAFLA.
